Youngsville

A growing town of meadows, large stands of trees & opportunity

Youngsville is a small town in the southwestern part of Franklin County, 21-miles north of Raleigh. Youngsville is surrounded by beautiful meadows, farms and fields, separated by stands of trees.

This is a relatively young town, as North Carolina towns go. In 1875, a local visionary donated land needed for a train depot. Bringing a depot to a town back then was a very big thing and the local economy was positively impacted.

Farmers increased their crops of cotton and tobacco, businesses multiplied, cotton gins and warehouses were built. By 1900, Youngsville had become one of the largest tobacco markets in the South.

As with other satellite communities to Raleigh, today growth has come to Youngsville. The large amount of land available is drawing the attention of many newcomers, who are attracted to life in the countryside, but are still tethered to nearby amenities of the nearby big cities.
